Taiyo Europe GmbH was tasked with replacing the roof for a velodrome structure in Switzerland. Originally completed in 2002, The World Cycling Centre in Aigle, Switzerland is an elite coaching and training center for cyclists and is home to the headquarters of the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI). To replace the existing roof, Taiyo Europe GmbH collaborated with the BGC SA and Tensys engineering firms to design, fabricate and install the new roof, as well as to remove the existing roof. The completed 2-layer PVC air-dome, covers an area of 5,000 square meters, and continues to function as a training hub for future athletes.
